The SkyHawks from Hill faced off against their cross town rival, the Hamilton Huskies last Friday to decide the 2017-18 DPS Prep League Championship. Both teams were undefeated on the season and respective Divisional Champs. Coach Hollmon and McCoy from Hill started the game with their aggressive back court pressure that they relied on all season.  The initial pace of the game was very quick and challenged the Huskies to be ready for the pressure right from the start. Hamilton battled hard from the beginning but could not withstand the back court pressure which allowed the SkyHawks to jump out on top 28-6. The SkyHawks went on to win their second championship in 3 years with the final score 54-33.  Hill was led by three scorers in double digits, Kijuan Thompson (18pts), Vincent May (13pts) and Preston Kaiser (12pts). The Huskies were led by Shaqur Edmonds who had 16 points and finished with only one loss on the season. Congratulations on a great season and a special thanks to our partner and sponsor, the Denver Nuggets.
