DPS Futures Volleyball was designed to promote the sport of Volleyball in Denver Public Schools. The program was developed with Kroenke Sports Enterprises at the Pepsi Center as the lead partner in 2010. The first official season began in the Spring of 2010. Since the inception of Futures Volleyball the numbers of participants at the high school level has increased dramatically. Where DPS once had HS programs that struggled to host one level of Volleyball we now have complete Freshman, JV and Varsity programs. The level of competition has also increased significantly. We now have expectations of seeing our teams in the State Tournament and we have even had one of our teams, Denver East, reach the Semi-Finals of the State Championship in 2015. We have had well over a dozen student/athletes from our Futures Program accept athletic scholarships to attend college. DPS Athletics is an extremely proud district that began their league in 1903. We dedicate our resources to the betterment of our student/athletes and encourage all of the them to help us build for the FUTURE.
